Customer Reviews
Pleasant Hill Motel deserves 5 stars, without a doubt. I’ve stayed at many hotels, and I normally never choose motels — but this one completely changed my mind. The moment I walked in, the room was spotless, the bathroom was immaculately clean, and everything was well-kept and comfortable. The TV worked perfectly and the entire place felt safe and welcoming. The front desk staff were very friendly and professional, which made my stay even better. There’s also a wonderful restaurant right next door — extremely convenient for travelers. If you are heading south or passing through, this is the motel you want. Highly recommended.
The room was clean and the bathroom had been recently renovated. The sheets did have cigarette burn holes in them, which was pretty disgusting. The door locks are very weak, which did not make me feel comfortable sleeping at night.
Positive: The 2 rooms each w/ TV. Negative: Musky smell
We had an RV breakdown so our hotel choice was limited. Still, for $105 this was not good. Plus -bathroom and sheets clean! Negative - dirty dust on floor lamp, baseboards. Lamp shade stained. Holes in curtains. Broken heater that rattled. Worse thing - we booked a non-smoking room. This was not what we were given....it was the last room and as we entered a worker was leaving the room with a machine that is to remove smells. Didn't work....it was old, stale, dank cigarette odors. I let the owner know this morning, shrugged his shoulders and said "too bad". We often stay in affordable motels rather than hotels, and have never had an experience like this.
Well you get what you pay for. All the hotel chains in Middletown were $200 for over night. This place was $95. The desk clerk was very friendly. There are locals sitting around this place that rent rooms by the night and there was definitely derelict activity taking place. I tried to mind my own business and just lock my room door but there is no deadbolt, chain lock, or extra security on the doors to the room at all. It was pretty obvious the door to my room has been kicked in or forced open before. The bed linens were not fresh and the pillows were lumpy and as old as it could get. I did not shower or anything and left at 5am. I don't believe I took any bed bugs with me but I kept every single thing up of off the floor just in case because this is exactly the kind of place where you wi
