Pinos Altos Casita

We enjoyed a one week stay in the casita. The kitchen was adequate for cooking meals from scratch, and the fridge was just big enough for our food collection. The only disappointment was a cranky DVD player. The dogs Red and Jasper are very friendly and welcome you back from outings. Last, the area is very quiet and the sky is very dark.

This place is incredible. Beautiful surrondings, beautifully decorated, and a model of efficiency. Let me explain. This is a small self-contained house - maybe 400 ft. sq. (just guessing), with kitchen, sitting room, bedroom, and bathroom/shower. The kitchen is fully functional with a 4-burner stove & oven with range hood, dishwasher, fridge/freezer, microwave, coffee maker, blender, toaster, double sink, and a full complement of pots, pans, and utensils. The appliances are narrow to save space, but absolutely usable.There is a lot of counter space, and two stools at the end of the counter serving as an eating area. The kitchen also has basic cooking ingredients (YMMV, of course): EVOO, balsamic, red wine vinegar, lots of spices, coffee and filters, and more. The bedroom has a large clo

This is a very comfy place to stay. It is outfitted with most anything you would need. Love the light and warmth of the passive solar design.

Cozy, well kept and well stocked. Gorgeous hikes straight from the front door through pines and alligator juniper.

We had a great three nights here.
