The site itself is a beautiful piece of land with amazing views and a great beach. It was very well maintained and just looked nice overall. However, the camp host, Debora, was incredibly rude to my group. It was just us three girls doing one night of car camping. We made sure our space was clean and contained. We were approached by the other camp host, Jim, at 8:30pm who was making his rounds on the camp site just politely letting us know that the quiet hours were at 10pm. (who was a very sweet man that assured us it was a safe place and pointed us in the direction of some stores. He took the time to get to know us a bit.) At about 9:20 is wife Debora stormed up to us with a very bright flashlight and yelled at us saying that our music was too loud and that we needed to be quiet. We po

The campground was absolutely beautiful and the campsite was well taken care of. The bathroom was easily one of the nicest I've seen at a campsite, with heating and flushable toilets instead of pit toilets. The main reason for the low rating is just for our experience--Jim was very kind and helpful with getting set up and payment done, and came to remind us at 9 that quiet hours were at 10. We turned our volume down, and then Debra came at 9:30 with a lot of hostility and angrily shouted at us to turn it down. We were confused because we would have quickly done so and were planning to shut everything down by 10, but apparently that wasn't good enough. We would have turned everything down (which we did after this) if she had come and asked. I think it is ridiculous to set your quiet hours a

What was very nice was the host greeted us coming in gave us a warm welcome and run down on the rules. Jim and Debra are very nice people and keep the campground nice and clean. The bathrooms have flushing toilets and lights and are very clean. Spots are easy to back into and roomy. And it is very quiet for the most part. Plus you get electricity and water and sewer. Best of both worlds. We have found our quick and easy and pleasant place to go. Will definitely be back a couple more times this month. Thank you Jim & Debra

A nice, clean, conveniently-located campground just off US-12. There are three tent-only campsites along the river and set aside from the RV sites. The campground host was welcoming and helpful. The bathrooms (sinks and flush toilets) were clean and well-maintained. There is a fair amount of road noise from US-12, but because of the placement of the tent-only sites, the sounds of the river are more noticeable.

A friend and I stayed for 3 days at the pink house. Jim and Deb are awesome hosts and go to great lengths to make sure your stay is as comfortable as possible, i honestly cant say enough about this recreation site. The sites are very well maintained and grass is groomed and neat, the bathrooms are impeccable and smell great (i know its weird), they are clean from top to bottom, we were very impressed. Jim is very welcoming and willing to help with anything you need, he is always hard at work outside and is just a great guy to talk to. At night the property is roamed by the local sheriffs office, so you don't have to worry about your possessions while staying there, actually there has not been a theft there since JIm and Deb have been there for 3 years. The only things that i can say that
