Pinewood Lodge

A neat lodge with a great view of and within walking distance to the Letchworth upper middle falls. The evening receptionist stayed a little late so that I could still check in. I stayed in a handicapped accessible cabin, that had a walk-in shower that was level with the rest of the bathroom floor. The bed was very comfortable and there was also a cot in the closet to allow for additional sleeping. I didn't use it, but there is also an outdoor seating area and fire pit as well as picnic tables that are shared with the other cabins.

The location was great. Beautiful walk down to the waterfall and The Glen Iris for breakfast. The room was clean, spacious, had a tv, microwave, and a couch. It had courteous heaters in the bathroom. There was internet and cable tv. The shower was clean and water was hot. It did have a musty smell due to the air conditioner filter needing changed. A firmer bed would’ve made for a better nights sleep. The mattress was very soft. All in all a great little cabin like room.

We were so relaxed! We did not stay in the Inn but were in their Lodge rooms, which are fairly close. I had read a couple of negative reviews but we absolutely loved it! We stayed in the Austrian Pine room and the view of the waterfall from the chairs outside was wonderful. We could’ve sat outside for ages. We had dinner at the Inn on both Friday and Saturday nights. There is some room for improvement, and the meals were somewhat expensive, but the setting was what made it. The room itself had everything we needed. Plentiful towels, shampoo/conditioner/body wash, coffee, coffee maker, fridge, microwave. The bed was very comfy and there was also a pullout loveseat. As well as a table and 2 chairs. I've been coming to Letchworth and the Glen Iris for over 20 years. I've stayed at the Glen Iris numerous times and always have a great experience. I've stayed at Pinewood Lodge twice, including this time. Upon entry the room is musty and damp. Even with the AC running, you can't get rid of it. For someone with breathing issues, this is problematic. The bed...is not comfortable at all. You sit on it and sink right down. Horrible sleeping experience. The coffee pot had water stains on it and didn't appear clean, but did use it because I was desperate for coffee at 7am. The toiletries in the shower are upscale, which was a nice touch. I was really disappointed with this room (Mountain). It won't deter me from staying at the Glen Iris again because it's amazing, but I won't stay in the lodge

This is like staying at the castle in Disney. We have a great view of the falls ..our own PARKING, when nobody has a place to park..Absolute beauty. Our room is called Scotch after the pine trees. Bed is super comfy. I put great pics on reels and Instagram and we are excited for more ventures tomorrow..we might catch a view of a balloon ride at 6am if we are lucky.. Cable is out but maybe thats not soo bad. We are enjoying the fall foliage.
