A great and easy place to stay when visiting Fire Island. Less than a 10 minute walk from the ferry terminal the guesthouse sits amongst some of the best houses on the island. We had one of the smaller rooms (room 2) and we couldn’t have been happier. The communal breakfast was great each morning and set us up for a good day. We loved coming back from the beach and jumping into the pool which is a great size and well positioned. The guest house feels very modern inside and there are so many areas to just sit and enjoy the views. We would love to come back here some time.

Was looking for a comfortable somewhat private retreat in the very busy Fire Island Pines and found it here at Pine Bluffs. Our suite was Apartment A. Clean, quiet, comfortable bed, air conditioned, Cable TV, great rainhead shower. However, the best part of this spot is the upstairs pool area and the roof deck with a hot tub and excellent views of the Atlantic. Continental breakfast was well conceived and the all day snacks and wine at cocktail hour a welcome addition to the amenities for this place. Jim and James, our hosts were gracious, nice and helpful in all of our needs and the other guests at the B&B were cool, interesting and private as well. A wonderful spot to spend a few days in a beautiful place.

We just had a lovely, wonderful stay at the Pines Bluff Overlook. Jim and Jim are fantastic hosts, who lovingly take care of their home and treat every guest as friends. The house is located in a quiet yet easily accessible location just one "block" from the beach. The deck on the roof provides fantastic views of the ocean, whether watching the moon rise from the hot tub, or catching glimpses of dolphins as the swim by in the morning. The pool on the second floor deck provided a great refreshing dip after lounging in the sun on the great loungers they have placed all over. (This is the first time I've stayed ANYWHERE where there were plenty of lounge chairs for everyone at the place, and great sun or shade for all of them.) The continental breakfast was nice, as was the daily "snack & wine

This was my first experience on Fire Island, which is a place unlike probably anywhere else in the world. Decided to get my feet wet with a beginning of the week trip at this lovely B+B.||||We had 4 people stay in Apartment B. The room and bathroom were spacious and clean. There was lots of storage and a great kitchenette including a toaster oven, microwave, half fridge, blender. The room also had Direct TV which we never used, and an iPhone 4 speaker dock. AC worked almost too well. I also loved the private entrance. This is my first B+B so I don't know what's standard compared to hotels, but I only wish the floor was cleaned during the day because of all the sand.||||The rest of the house is beautiful, accommodating, and so close to the beach! Continental breakfast left me full everyday.

I couldn't have asked for more: two of the most warm, welcoming and charming hosts who know what hospitality is, in a lovely house that's well maintained and inviting, and where guests are treated like friends. This guest house has sweeping views (of both the ocean and the bay) that's close (but not too close) to town, delicious continental breakfast, inviting lounge chairs, decks, hot tub and pool. Having managed a guest house in Manhattan for the past 23 years, I can highly recommend Pines Bluff Overlook to new and repeating Fire Island guests.
