Pinconning Trail Inn

I just walked into my room about 30 minutes ago and am beyond impressed. The color scheme is beautiful and the room smelled very fresh and clean. I get the feeling that the owners care very much about their property. The shower was nice and hot and the room was stocked with towels, toiletries, coffee, etc. The bed is very soft. Service at the front desk was quick and they were very polite. I'd definitely recommend this motel to others. Definitely.

First I would like to say the room was clean! The receptionist Nancy was very pleasant, she is of Hindi descent so English was broken, but understandable. My sister and I arrived Friday at 1pm. Saturday morning we were sitting outside our room directly across from the office, I heard a commotion, yelling and screaming coming from office, I looked over and could see the owner pushing and slapping his wife around. At that time my sister started running over there to stop the abuse, but I stopped her! The owner saw us witnessing the abuse, he came outside and told us in very broken English that everything okay and he was in a praying like gesture. I should have called the police!! 7/29/25 Well... We booked this room on Bookings.com because of the high ratings it had received. The ratings are not dated so now I question how old they were. We could have stayed at the casino down the road for a few dollars more than we paid here but chose this mom and pop shop because of the ratings. Very clean on the outside. Staff were very accommodating. Even let us check in early. We reserved the jacuzzi room for the evening. It's in the back of the motel, next to the laundry room down a very warm hall. The room was very small. Queen size bed. The air fresheners in the room were so overpowering that we had to put them out in the hall. The poor a/c unit had all it could do to cool the room. I was camping in the UP and decided to make the drive home to PA in two days instead of one. I called at a moments notice and got a room for me and my dogs. There was a 25$ per dog upcharge but, my babies are my babies and I felt it reasonable. The lady in charge was very polite and business like which I prefer and made sure that I was taken care of. Piconning is a nice little town with a few eateries, a couple bars, a few gas stops, grocery store and a recreational shop something for everyone. I will be planning to stay here next on my way up and back from the UP next year.
