Pickney rails to trails campground is a primitive campground with portapottys and a shower trailer. Lots of camps site available. NO power hookups or dump station available. Looks like they will be installing a dish washing station near the shower trailer. Multiple spots in the campground have water available to fill jugs or cook with. Located just next door is a large paintball field open to the public. My family and I had a great time camping here. The camp hosts are awesome people. Everything in town is within walking distance including a small bakery where everything is made in house even the doughnut filling. The rails to trail runs along side the campground. You can ride your bike all the way to Lake Michigan or to Detroit. Multiple small parks also in walking distance, very family f

Just a patch of dirt with portable toilets, hot showers, and a dumpster. $25 per night for RV spots, plus a $5-15 dollar service fee for booking online, the only way to book. Tent sites have picnic tables and fire rings. RV spots, nothing. Adjacent to a state park with an epic paved path (once a railroad), on one side, and an incredible paintball battleground on the other. Staff and other campers were kind and respectful, everything is pretty clean. They are not strict about rules, just be cool. We loved this patch of dirt, exactly what we were looking for, and there are so few similar options in Southeast Michigan. Boondockers, you won't find much better around here outside of Waterloo Recreation Area. Maybe it should be $5 cheaper but oh well, we're happy campers.

Stayed here on our bike packing trip and would do so again. The shower trailer with dishwashing station was a pleasant surprise. You can access the campground directly from the rail trail, no need to ride on the road. There is a grocery store within riding distance ( I think it was about a 10 minute ride from camp).

Very peaceful, plenty of porta potties, hot showers, easy check-in, friendly, and accommodating.
