Recently visited here with my sister and 6 year old. 1- This place is family friendly!! So many kids riding around on bikes and scooters. My son loved it & I felt it was very safe. 2- The views are stunning, as an Ohio native I love finding places that make you feel like you’re in a different place. The rolling hills and being surrounded by greenery is incredible. 3- We didn’t go swimming because of the weather but the “beach” looks very inviting. We checked it out while on a paddleboat, which you can rent! 4- Playgrounds are geared towards the younger kiddos but they do have 4 swings and a basketball court which kept my kiddo happy. Overall, we had a blast and plan to return.
We have always enjoyed the stay at pike lake campground this time they had giant leaf blowers attached to lawnmowers every day blowing sites off and the amount of dirt we ate during that time and the dirt on EVERYTHING inside camper on tables camper cars was insane!! Was overkill on the blowers and mowing grass in a drought was not needed
