Beautiful foliage and birds out. Access is available via sauntering the Ice Age National Scenic Trail and driving on Powder HIll Road to the Nature Trail Parking Lot. 3/10 mile to the first B1 site and they're spaced out. There is a porta potty located right there. B2 is a big open grassy area, site B1 is first, it's closer to the path. B3 is wooded and sits a bit back from the path. Beautiful walking areas. If you haven't tried backpacking before, you can search this site out easily as a day trip and saunter along the trails. As of May, after a couple days of rain, there still were not mosquitos between 12-2p. people from before me left some wood and a walking stick, cleaned up the site good.

We are beginner backpackers and these sites are perfect for us. Very short hike to get here and there is a porta potty. We had site B2 which was a big open grassy area. Sites B1 & B3 were wooded. The mosquitos were very bad in the afternoon and morning. Once we made a fire they went away. We could hear road noise but no trains as others had mentioned.

Nice and close to parking area so it's nice for a first time backpacking. Sites have a fire circle and picnic table and there was a portapotty nearby. From site B3 we could hear road noise, see someone's house, and had many many trains go by in the night waking us up. Go here because it's convenient and we'll appointed, not to get a feeling of being deep in the wilderness.

Beautiful sites -- especially site 3 -- and a very short hike from the trailhead (quarter mile). But beware these are a quarter mile from Hwy 60 and Powder Hill Rd so there is a ton of traffic noise (all nite) and trains run all nite (11p to 6a one or more an hour) -- so bring your ear plugs.

Site was nice and park is good just wish it was farther away from the road so I couldn't hear cars driving by kinda ruins the camping atmosphere
