Pierre Motel

I am giving this establishment 2 stars. The staff was very polite and sweet, through no fault of her own, this place is a bit of a dive. The location is perfect, centrally located, however there's a murky element that may make many folks uncomfortable. I cannot review the rooms because there were no vacancies, but I will say that the woman at the desk was very helpful in suggesting alternative options. From what I could see from the lobby, it is very dated and definitely has a vibe, but maybe some people are into that. I think that it would be fine in a pinch for adults who are simply looking for a place to sleep for the night, but I'm not sure that I would want to bring children there. I get the feeling that there may not be vacancies very often here. This review feels very judgemental on

While this is not a high end type of motel, we found it very clean, friendly and reasonably priced. We were looking for a lower cost place to stay in the area for just one night, and we arrived very late, so looking for a decent place to spend a short night. Bed was super comfy, AC in the room worked great. ||Rather dated furnishings, but that was okay with us.

Have always had the most pleasant and relaxing visit every time I use this hotel. Family owned, and run, and what a great family. You'll not have a better experience at any other hotel in the area. They keep the cleanest rooms in the whole state, and I've stayed so over Vermont.

My family and I flew to VT for our daughter's college graduation. I booked Pierre through Priceline. When we arrived, I asked to first see the room (the office reminded me of the very first hotel I had booked when I first brought her up 5 years ago. It was horrible!). I was afraid to sit on the chair let alone on the bed! The curtains had horrible stains, the carpet was almost threadbare. The room had a not too pleasant odor. The bathroom was miniscule, the tiny shower had grout stains. It was disgusting. Thank goodness they allowed cancellation! I could not find any hotel available for the 2 nights, so I was able to find a room down Main Street in the Days Inn. I would never recommend Pierre to anyone.

Though this was a cheap place to stay, it wasn't cheerful. The rooms are very dark even on a sunny day and a new mattress was defiantly in order. However, the room was cleanish and the linen and towels were clean. There was hot water, but the pressure could have been better. Barre didn't feel like the most exciting place and if we were coming again we'd stay nearer Montpellier or out on highway 2 heading east.||PS no swimming pool or restaurant, just can't turn the dots off
