Customer Reviews
The cabin we stayed at was super cute and very clean. Good showers, too. Hot water and good water pressure ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ there was a little fridge in the room, all the lighting is ambient so no glaring overhead lights, but plenty of lighting in the room. The owner was kind, helpful, knowledgeable, and a delight to chat with. Lots of board games and a veritable library of DVDs, too, and a strong WiFi signal. There's a TV with Roku in the room, but it was so cozy that we just read in the evenings. It was perfect for a weekend Upstate, and would definitely would stay there again.
Really enjoyed my stay. I travel quite a bit for business and pleasure and this was definitely one of the most comfortable mattresses I have slept on. I loved the little fireplace in my cottage and the stone fireplace in the lodge. Staff were incredibly friendly, chatting during their continental breakfast. In that conversation I shared I was going to head out to look for some crampons for a hike. They had crampons in the lodge which saved me a side quest to try to find them. Great location from Hunter Mountain and many other outdoor recreation areas.
Overall lovely stay at the Phoenicia Lodge! We were in town for a couples getaway to hike and have some quiet time. The Lodge is perfectly situated close to some of the best hikes in the area, as well as within 20 minutes of some of the best meals in the area (Peekamoose, Foxfire Mountain Inn, and Sylvia)! We stayed in the 1 bedroom cottages, which are cozy, comfortable, and well appointed. Cottage #4 is away from the road, with the mountain laurel giving a bit of extra privacy. We appreciated the details such as good bedding and fluffy towels. We enjoyed the communal fire pit and would have liked to sit on our porch, but had quite a bit of rain. The continental breakfast was simple but fresh and the coffee was robust. We enjoyed watching some of the many DVDs they had in hand (truly a div
Stayed here 2 nights while taking my boys skiing their first time. We stayed in the 2 bedroom suite in main building. The room and lobby were immaculate. Theres lots of options of food and shops from 1-15 mins away. They have a nice continental breakfast if you'd like to grab a quick bite before going out for day. Sandra will accommodate whatever you need and its a nice atmosphere for family. We will definitely go back in future and my kids would like to check out other rooms!
I spent four wonderful days skiing at Belleayre Mountain in mid-February, and staying at the lodge made the trip. The innkeeper, Sandra, is truly lovely—so easy to talk to and incredibly accommodating. The lodge itself is the definition of quaint and charming; every corner feels cozy and spotlessly clean. It’s conveniently located just a short drive from the mountain, and I couldn't recommend it highly enough for a comfortable winter getaway.
