Philadelphia Marriott Downtown

First time visiting, and the room and location were excellent. From the airport, the train ride took us straight to the Jefferson Station which is right outside out the Marriott. Directly across the street is the Reading Terminal Market and it was insane. Some of the best food in the country ! There was an employee by the name of ROSE at check-in and she made our stay unbelievable. Very professional and helpful. I hope her leadership makes note of this 5 star rating. We are definitely coming back from Texas !

The location is probably the only thing that would ever make me want to stay here again. THERE'S NO LONGER A POOL! Google says they have an indoor heated pool, and it's all over the pictures, but they no longer have it. You can go to the floor that it was on and still see the old sign. They never informed us. We got out bathing suits on and went to the 7th floor, where is used to be, and called when we could find it, to be told they closed it back in September. INFORM PEOPLE. I stopped another group from trying to find the pool when I heard them talking about it in the elevator. Other than that, the rooms feel old, carpets in hallways are coming up in multiple spots and needs updating pretty much on all floors above first floor. The room is decent, nothing special. After seeing so many negative reviews, I was so pleasantly surprised by my stay. It was really wonderful and as a convention hotel of course its busy, but the room was very nice and the staff were great.|I am titanium and got upgraded to a club level room which was clean and updated. Free water bottles ! Staff in the club lounge during dinner time were super hospitable. I wont forget them. Lounge food offerings were not bad. There was alcohol as well. I got room service multiple rimes and everything was prompt, hot and delicious. I would stay here again!

When we got there we were told there’s no longer a pool at the hotel. They acted like an early check in was a huge inconvenience and everyone was pretty rude except the man who let us check in early. The rooms were fine and the location was good (right next to terminal market). The lobby area was nice.

The hotel is located in the center of everything downtown Philadelphia. The Reading Terminal Market is right across the street. The hotel staff was very gracious and helpful. The bed slept well, and there was good hot water pressure. There is also a laundry room for you to do your own laundry. If you like to. I think I would definitely stay here again.
