Perkins Park & Campground at Big Bay in the Michigan UP is one of the BEST campgrounds we have camped at. Beautiful location, within walking distance of a quaint town. We spent hours on the pier watching the locals fish. Of course, Johnny got to check on how the walleyes were doing, so he was a happy fellow.
Gorgeous campground. Came on a Monday in August, quiet but still pretty busy. Sites are a little tight but as long as your a decent and respectful human it's a fantastic time and a great campground. Bathrooms are clean, shower house is clean. Dogs welcome on leashes and spaced out enough not to be right on top of each other. We really enjoyed our time here a lot and will return for years! Dock is clean and accessible. Very nostalgic watching all of the kids play safely on bikes. Front desk staff is extremely sweet and nice. 10/10 campground
