Customer Reviews
First the pros-big grassy fields. Large permanent sites, swimming pool and nice playground. Very quiet. Management doesn't bother you. Nice traditional camping. Now the cons-nice grassy tent sites with NO water not even a shared water supply. You had to go to a bathroom. Bathroom was single person, if someone was showering you could not use bathroom. The biggest negative for us was how small the sites were for people not staying full time. Wood was reasonable at 10 a bundle but make sure you have exact change, they don't like making change. Same goes for the 10 fee for the gate card.
We stayed with our RV at Peppermint Park just last week. While the permanent sites are quite large the temporary ones were a bit on the small side. Blessedly we were there during the week rather than on the weekend, so there were empty sites on either side, giving us a bit more privacy. The grounds are well kept, and the pool was exceptionally clean. There was also a hot tub near the pool, but we didn't find time to use same. Peppermint Park offers free WiFi which was a real plus. Unfortunately we had to cut our stay short by one night due to unforeseen work obligations, and Peppermint Park did not offer either a refund nor rain check. Heads up! You may only want to book one night at a time to avoid losing the overnight fee. Overall it is a nice, clean, pleasant park. We will likely return
Two years ago we camped in September for a month. The campground was very clean. Everyone was so friendly. We liked it so much the next year we camped for two months. everyone was very pleasant and welcoming to us. All of our family visited frequently especially for birthdays and important events. The grand children love the playground Which was very large and different. Also complete with a large sandbox. They also had different activities on the weekends . we were very happy that we found this campground. Bill and Mary Walsh
We’ve been camping here on and off for 20+ years and the last few we have been seasonal. It’s the cleanest campground around with the friendliest campers and workers. There’s plenty to do for us now without the kids and there was plenty when they came with us when they were younger. We love the activities, the pool and mostly relaxing at our campsite with family and friends. It’s our favorite place to camp! Looking forward to this coming season!!
My wife and I have had the pleasure of being seasonal campers at Peppermint Park for the last ten years. Our experiences there have been most pleasant.Gale, Dave, and their staff have diligently and consistently striven to provide a quality and safe campground and environment. Their efforts have resulted in a pristine environment in which campers can relax and socialize. The rules are reasonable and equitably enforced to further insure the safety and comfort of the their clientele
