Penny's Landing Guesthouse

We absolutely loved this place. Everything was perfect. We had booked a hotel prior in Omaha and had a bad experience with it so left as soon as we could, then I found this place while we were driving around. It’s about 25 minutes from Omaha so was still easy to get into town. I’m a farm girl, so there was nothing better than being able to travel and just look out at the beautiful land. It was very quiet and the night sky was beautiful. Everything was very clean, which is a huge deal for us traveling with kids and a baby. The owner greeted us when we arrived. The beds were very comfortable. I was able to get some work done while feeling relaxed. We’ve already decided we will be staying here in the future anytime we travel back to Nebraska. ❤️

If you are looking for something unique and charming, this is the place. The huge three-story silos have been turned into the nicest rooms. We were on the bottom floor, so no steps. (there is no elevator) The room was HUGE and had very nice furnishings. There was a small, movable table that is easy to place by your bedside or chair. There were a couple of nice throw blankets. The A/C unit was very quiet, which we appreciated. Penny's Landing is at an event center (The Palace) and on farm property. You have to use a phone app to unlock your room door. It is easier to do than I expected. We walked around the building and up the long stairs to the top to see the view out the back door. The view is great from up there, too. The lobby area had fruit and "breakfast bar" snacks. And

This was a unique and fun venue. Since the wedding was right there on site, it was wonderful to be able to stay there the night before. Also, was nice to stay there the evening of the wedding so you did not have to worry about staying late after cleaning up late into the night or partying too much and then still having to drive somewhere. Cozy and quaint rooms. The only thing I would change would be the sliding barn doors for the bathroom doors. They make a lot of noise so you can hear other people's doors slamming shut from your room. In one of our rooms, the bathroom/barn door would not stay open and it is easy to squeeze your fingers in the doors when they slam shut. Also no locks on bathroom doors. Would have been nice to have a later checkout than 10:00 (if you are renting the venue

Great very unique place to stay even if your coming to visit primarily the Omaha/Council Bluffs area, which is < 25 miles away and was the focus of our trip. Very quiet, modern, clean rooms and common areas. Received full restful sleep all 3 nights we stayed. Very nice well-lit parking lot. Enjoyed the peacefulness and fresh country air. Had an unexpected encounter with Craig (the owner) and he was very hospitable and friendly to include providing us a very quick tour of the Palace Event Center close by. The only issue we had was the ice maker temporarily went of out service, but Craig promptly fixed it. Highly Recommend staying here. Be the first of your family and friends who can say they've had the experience of sleeping in a large grain silo--truly a unique experience!

AMAZING!!! This was such a clean, cute and wonderful stay! Beds were so comfortable, rooms were big. Very very clean. AC worked great! A little off the beaten path but wish we would have stayed longer than one night!
