Pelletier Campgrounds

Couldn't have asked for a better experience! Norm runs a tight ship and he clearly knows all the details you'll need to know to have an enjoyable and safe trip down the Allagash Wilderness Waterway. Our group of four came packed a little heavy which Norm quickly picked up on. We were set up to take two 16'9" canoes and he immediately suggested we upgrade one canoe to a 20' model just by looking at our gear, and boy was he right. He met with us the night before our departure and covered all the details of the trip and answered all of our questions. The next morning Bernie drove us down to Churchill Dam for put in and we enjoyed chatting with him along the way. We planned a 5 day trip to take out in Allagash Village. Norm being the pro he is suggested a plan B of taking out at Michaud Farm

Norm did well with our trip. We rented canoes and he transported us to and from the river. His small camp site was great for a 1 night stay.

Norman was terrific Understood what we needed and furnished both kayaks and livery Runs this business like all should be run, personally! Got to hurry though, as he is selling the business after doing it for 39 years Anyone interested?

This is the outfitter you want to use if you're doing the AWW. Norm is a seasoned pro and one of the most likeable Mainers you will ever meet. His campground is excellent and I would highly recommend it to anyone. I cannot say enough good things, from the already cut and dry firewood in abundance to the timely service provided by his team, they got us to our drop off at Indian Stream in a little over 3 hours which is what we expected. I hope to do the AWW sometime again in the future and I will look no further than Pelletier Campgrounds.

Norman is an exceptional source of information about the allagash and was extremely helpful in our trip. Stayed at his place in st francis which was perfect for the 5 of us. Incrediblely clean and comfy. He is reliable and I would recommend him for any trip to the Allagash.
