Paulding Pond Campground and Picnic Area

Not much here. Nothing is developed and everything is very overgrown. No signage at all. Assuming camping is free and you will have to do it dispersed style, I did not even see any fire pits but there could be some. Very overgrown as of spring 2025. With a little work this could be a decent primitive/rustic campground and with the easy access I would have no issue paying a few bucks for a night stay. But as it is now, no way I would pay.

I wouldn't want to picnic next to this swampy lake. I'm sure it's buggy as anything! The campground is very lame and doesn't have any facilities. Better than nothing? Paddling here isn't the best but you're likely gonna have the place to yourself because nobody else would want to go here.

Beautiful and peaceful though you can hear cars from highway. And a few biting flies.

Probably best after a cold snap and before the last snow melts... the mosquitoes are a "No DUH" in the Northwoods but I was anemic by the time I left this place after only stopping to check it out!
