Paddlers Inn Motel

First the good: the owners are friendly and welcoming. The breakfast area is well stocked and the coffee is excellent. The motel is cute on the outside. The location is good. They have yurts to stay in that look pretty cool. There are fire pits and plenty of seating outside. Now for the bad: The room we stayed in was not very clean. There were cobwebs everywhere which I had to clean myself. I wiped down the windows which were bad, and around the baseboards and doors. I noticed mildew growing on the inside of the doors and on the walls. I wiped down the inside of the entry door. The dampness was bad, and the smell was very musty. We only stayed overnight and paid $149. At that price I think we paid about 3x what the room was worth. I'm sorry to leave a bad review, but they really need to do

We spent 4 nights in the Inn and had a great experience! All the fun of camping, but sleeping in a real bed with real walls and a ceiling! The communal bonfire was great, we had fun meeting other guests. Everything needed to build a fire was available to us. There was a nice propane grill for us to use, along with many outdoor games that the kids and adults enjoyed. The breakfast nook had breakfast for us every morning, but we also were able to use it to prepare our own food for other meals and to wash our dishes, instead of having to wash them in the bathroom in our room. Sandra and Bruce, the managers, were very friendly and helpful. I purchased a package deal on Facebook that had us stay at this motel. Just as it appears in the photo it is an old school motel that some updates have been done. New flooring and outside entry doors. They had 5 adults set up in 1 room that had a queen bed on the bottom, a single bunk above the queen which that was fine. But then there was a futon that was also listed in the room. It would be fine if it wasn't two adults maybe children would be fine. So we purchased the adjoining room for an additional $575 for 3 nights. That came with a full size refrigerator. The bathrooms were older the shower walls tile and clean the floors concrete and needed repainted. Old sinks hanging off the wall with older faucets that wouldn't shut off. Cute little hotel. Pros: Great grounds for hanging out. corn hole, fire pits, little kitchen area with decent breakfast. Cozy. Tucked in the pines. Cons: Was right on the road and the trucks were loud at night. Shower was nasty. Overall a great place. If you want to settle in your hotel and watch tv, this isn't the place. If you want to settle at your hotel and sit outside to enjoy the fresh air, this is the place.

We stayed in the Yurts behind the motel. There were only 4 there which I loved. Not too many people. The service was great! She gave you a map and offered suggestions on where to go and eat. The Yurt had a bathroom fridge microwave and portable AC/heater. They also offer breakfast. The only negatives I have are... the water smelled like rotten eggs, you could hear the traffic and the neighbors at times, so bring earplugs, and the AC/ heater unit was loud and made horrible sounds 🙉🙈. But despite that, I would still recommend. It was a cool experience.
