Packbasket Adventures

A group of hiking friends made reservations for January 2026. The temperature that weekend would be -35 degrees. The owner Donna reached out to us. She was worried about temps and offered to let us change our reservation to a different date. We quickly changed to February. This speaks volumes about the owner! She’s kind, compassionate and clearly is running a great place. The Packbasket was clean & comfortable. It has such a great vibe. The food was incredible ~ good thing we hiked to work it off! If I could give Packbasket Adventures a 10 I would do it. There were 16 of us who stayed there over the weekend for a celebration of life. Donna greeted us before we entered the lodge. I knew then this was going to be a great experience. The lodge was very clean, beds were comfortable, and the surroundings were beautiful. Donna with the help of Sherri made us breakfast and catered to all of our needs. Our family will definitely be back.

My wife and I had an amazing time. Donna gave us a warm welcome and spoiled us our whole stay. Our accommodations and food were exquisite. On a scale of 1-5, it was definitely a 10. We will definitely be back. Chip and Tracy

Experiences this positive are rare. My girlfriend and I made a last-minute decision to stop at Packbasket Adventures for breakfast before a paddling trip, and from my first phone call to when we pulled out of the parking lot, everything was seamless and enjoyable. The logistics were smooth, the atmosphere was peaceful, the food was excellent, and the prices were fair. Most of all, Donna (the owner) was warm, welcoming, and attentive. It's always a pleasant surprise when expectations are exceeded, and our visit to Packbasket Adventures did just that.

We recently stayed at Packbasket Lodge as part of a kayaking tour package through AE Adventures. The lodge was comfortable and very clean. The food--3 meals a day including a pack lunch--was creative and tasty, and well presented. Rick and Angie were wonderful hosts and served us quite well. Can't speak more highly of the experience we had there for 6 days and nights.
