Omg, what a wonderful place. I rented a small yurt, which to me seemed big for a small. With a bunked that has a full-size bed on the bottom and a twin size bed separate from the bunk beds. Clean, quiet. Let's see the showers and bathrooms spotless. The showers are nice and hot. You must bring mosquito repellent it is a must. The pond is a little mucky, and I would not swim in it, but Lake Dennison is less than 4 minutes away. The nature trails are just beautiful, and the wildlife is there. Not that I saw any but bats and a lot of birds. You must bring your own linens for the beds, the yurts have electricity and a ceiling fan. It comes with 3 windows that open and have mesh to keep out the bugs.
Spent 1 night camping to be close to the Monadnock region. Good location with places to eat nearby and minutes from the NH border. Our tent/RV site at first seemed quite close to other sites, but as the night settled in it was fairly quiet and we felt more secluded. The bathrooms were not the best and not the worst I've seen. I think they might be cleaned once daily. Firewood didn't come with a firestarter, so bring or find your own. Overall for a one night's stay, it was great!
I booked a last-minute two-day camping trip to Otter River over Labor Day weekend and it was wonderful. The campground is beautiful with good amenities. The sites are nice. Ours was near the main entry road (site 38) which we quickly forgot- it was completely peaceful and next to a babbling brook. The bathroom facilities were clean and have showers. There is an outdoor dishwashing sink. For $5 you can buy firewood from the park management and the fire pits are perfect - in the ground, surrounded by metal edges, with a movable grill grate. The crown jewel from my teenage son’s perspective was the beautiful new basketball court! We didn’t go in the pond but it looked great for little children. Lake Dennison is 5-minute drive and gorgeous for swimming and kayaking. The only reason I’m giving

We highly recommend Otter River State Park for anyone looking for a memorable and family-friendly camping trip!
Awesome campground! My family really loved Jameson the park interpreter. The kids brought him a lot of their bugs and nature finds and he shared in their excitement and taught them a lot!
