Orcas Hotel & Cafe

I loved staying at the hotel. It was beautiful and nice to unplug for the most part. No TVs in the room, which is nice. I had my tablet, so that wasn't an issue. They have awesome WI-FI. I do have something to say about the cafe ... Food not so good. I would recommend going into Eastsound for food. The cost of food is pretty high on the island, and I'm sure it's because they have to ferry all supplies over. I will say the coffee is good and the brownies are delicious at the cafe. They do not cook the food from scratch at the cafe. It was pretty much heat-and-serve. They have good breakfast burritos at the Market across the street, and you can get supplies there if you don't want to go to Eastsound. Wow- can’t express how much we enjoyed our stay. Only one night and we can’t stop talking about it! Each member of the staff was so genuine and warm, we just wanted to continue getting to know them. You can tell this is a very special place to work and a special place to be because of the care the employees put into their jobs. Ryan was so easy to talk to and made us feel like we’ve been friends for years! Shauna made our stay so comfortable and was so inviting. The rooms are gorgeous and have a classic elegant feel. The flowers on the lawn were blooming- perfect weather to enjoy a nice latte outside. This is a very special place- cannot recommend a stay enough, we already planned our next. Make sure to spend some time with Mr. Lily, the sweetest kitty while you’re there!

This was genuinely the best vacation we've been on and it was all thanks to the staff and lodging at Orcas Hotel. We had a beautiful room with a cozy fireplace and sitting area, with a stunning view of the water and ferry. The bed was SO comfortable, the food was delicious, and the staff/management couldn't have been nicer. Special thanks to Ryan, Megan, and Shoshana for such a wonderful weekend. We can't wait to come back!

Lots of pluses: The hotel is right by the ferry. It is fantastic to sit in the rockers on the porch and watch the world go by and ferries come and go. The staff are very nice, cheerful and accommodating. The room was spacious and bathroom somewhat updated. The food from the hotel cafe was delicious, some of the best chowder I’ve ever had. Generous portions. Perfectly made latte😊. The downside for us was the creaky bed with the way too thick foam mattress pad. It would be great for this hotel- which has so much to offer- to invest in some new beds.

Stayed in room 2 with my small dog while traveling for work and couldn’t be happier. My room was large with a fireplace, view of the ferry, and a totally remodeled bathroom. The shower is amazing. Potentially the most comfortable hotel bed I’ve ever had. As well as incredible food & pastries! There was also dog supplies all set up in the room when we arrived too!
