Opossum Creek Retreat

It's very beautiful here. The cabin is very clean. The host is always ready when you need help. You can relax here. There's outdoor grilling available and a hot tub. Everything is very complete and convenient. If you come here in the summer, there are many outdoor activities nearby to explore. I would definitely come back here again if I have the chance. I would stay here again if I return to this area.

We stayed at Opossum Creek Retreat, Cabin Over the Hill, June 2025. Based on the online pictures and description, this cabin is highly underrated. It's nestled deep into the woods with complete privacy, yet easy to get to. It's clean and comfortable. The kitchen has all the cookware and utensils one would need. The hot tub is wonderful. It's located on the deck surrounded by the woods with complete privacy. The toilet and shower are in separate rooms making it more convenient when more than one person is staying there. The host goes out of their way to make you feel at home. And it's in a great location, central to everything this beautiful gorge has to offer. I highly recommend.

Stayed in the El Gordo cabin on a recent trip to WV. 4 adults. Cabin was clean and well appointed with everything you need for your stay. If you’re a coffee drinker bring ground coffee. Home baked cookies were on the table when we arrived. ASIC cabin rooms with two small bathrooms. Large screened in porch with hot tub ( did not use ). Would definitely recommend

Anna arranged for our stay seamlessly, our cabin was immaculate, the hot tub was drained and refilled ahead of our visit without requesting it to be done. The setting is beautiful, quiet with a screened in porch. The beds are comfortable and the towels plentiful. It is a stones throw from all New Gorge River activities as well as delicious restaurants in Fayetteville. A true gem’

We lucked upon this hidden gem! Our daughter, myself & husband stayed in Over the Hill to celebrate my husband’s 65th! Everything was perfect! Easy check in Perfectly stocked Very clean private hot tub Firewood for our campsite Gas grill for grilling out Location 5 minutes from New River Gorge bridge, minutes from beautiful hiking trails and restaurants. No idea if the TV works, we played games or hung outside We loved it and can’t wait to come back!!
