Open Air Spicewood

We always enjoy our stay here at Open Air Spicewood. The amenities and welcoming environment we experience when we come here are like no other. The employees that I met and even the other guests are so kind and it really feels like a community. Thank you to the manager Nicole for always showing so much love in all that you do!

This RV park is very clean & well maintained. The tenants & staff are very friendly! Shari Duke is the manager & goes above & beyond to make your stay comfortable! I highly recommend this RV park to everyone & will definitely be back when I come to town.

I’m new to RV-ing having just bought a fiberglass Oliver trailer with the intention of fishing my way from state to state. Sherry Duke is the manager at Open Air and for the past 2 months she patiently showed me the way a trailer functions on shore power and while “boondocking”. Sherry is what I hope to encounter as I make my way around the country trying out the best, most remote fishing spots!

⚠️🚫 Overpriced & Neglected! 💸 This was the worst “resort” experience I’ve ever had at a campground at end of August 2025. From the very start, check-in was a mess—no one was in the office, and I had to call and wait until someone showed up. On their website, they claim to have a strict 10-year RV policy unless you pass a visual inspection, but in reality, the park is full of very old, falling-apart trailers (90% of trailer were over that policy) We were allowed to pick our site and chose the only one with a small concrete pad. Unfortunately, the rest of the grounds were nothing but overgrown weeds, dirt, and no grass at all. The site itself was infested with insects—spiders and ants everywhere, with at least four ant mounds right on our spot. It was clear there’s zero maintenance happen

Disappointed with maintenance. The single bathroom at the far end of the rv park was left a MESS - toilet needed cleaning in the worst way! Left a voice message with the "front office" on two individual days and spoke to an employee on one additional day without any bathroom cleaning! Stayed a total of four days and bathroom was never cleaned. Staff needs to do their job.
