Olema House

We stayed at the Olema House as part of a trip to the Sonoma Wine Country. The room (#16) was modern and had an amazing view of the property grounds and the forested hills. They provide a lot of nice extras like complimentary wine, communal sitting areas and a fire pit to toast smores. They have plenty of onsite Tesla EV chargers. The onsite restaurant and bar affiliated with the hotel has an excellent menu. Best of all, the property is five minutes from the Point Reyes National Seashore Bear Valley visitor center.

We've driven by this spot a few times, and I am thrilled we finally made the time to stay. Olema House is a beautiful property, with nice rooms and linens, and spectacular grounds. Sitting out back listening to the creek is so peaceful, and I love that they're dog friendly. We used this as our home base and explored the neighboring trails and small towns. Great vibes. Can definitely recommend.

We stayed here for a quick birthday getaway and, overall, had a very enjoyable experience. The property is peaceful, beautifully maintained, and the restaurant and grounds were excellent. Service throughout the stay from Kyle, the restaurant staff, and the businesses in Point Reyes Station was warm and welcoming. The only downside was the arrival experience, which felt unnecessarily rigid and poorly communicated. I had called ahead to request an early check-in, fully understanding it was not guaranteed. When we arrived shortly after noon, the front desk acknowledged the note on our reservation but offered no flexibility or proactive options (such as beginning the check-in process or monitoring housekeeping status). The interaction felt dismissive rather than solution-oriented. Ironically

We had a wonderful stay and can’t say enough good things about this hotel. The management team is outstanding — incredibly professional, responsive, and truly focused on making guests feel welcome and cared for. The location couldn’t be better, and the rooms are luxurious with every comfort you could want. The beautiful lodge building and well-kept lawn make it a perfect place to relax and enjoy the scenery. We also loved that the hotel is dog friendly! It’s great to see that pets are welcome while still keeping things respectful — all the dogs were well-behaved and on leash. All in all, a fantastic experience and highly recommend!

My daughter’s Wedding was held there at the Olema House, outdoors under the trees and next to the creek. We couldn’t have asked for a more beautiful wedding and celebration. Paulina the event manager and her staff were very attentive to ensure everyone was happy and had what they needed. The ceremony site was beautiful and the dining area was perfect. The food was served family style and was so delicious, provided by their restaurant. All the guests commented how wonderful everything was at the Olema House. Paulina was very responsive to all my questions to ensure the Wedding went smoothly. Thank you Olema House staff for making my daughter’s Wedding so beautiful!
