I found this hidden gem of a motel late one night when coming to St Augustine Florida. I have since stayed here several times. The price was very reasonable, even with tax. It should be noted, and ANYONE who has stayed in a motel knows, that there is always a price increase on Fridays and Saturdays. But here the increase is not going to break your wallet. I found the staff very helpful, professional and friendly. You can tell that the owner takes care to maintain the property by attending to repairs and customers needs as they come up. The rooms are always clean, linens fresh. This is a quiet, clean, affordable place to stay, not far from Historic St Augustine or the Outlet Malls. Give a phone call for more information.
I searched for pet friendly hotels and as it states on the website they are pet friendly. We are in the process of moving and have our cat with us. AFTER we checked in and paid for the room the front desk person asked if we had any pets. Something that I had checked off on the reservation and he already knew the answer to. My husband said a cat, he proceeded to say that the cat CANNOT be in the room and kept saying it repeatedly. We have been calling friends trying to see if someone anyone can help us! I finally after an hour of sitting in the car with the cat I called and asked WHY IT SAYS PET FRIENDLY ON TVE WEBSITE, if pets are not allowed?!?!!!!! He proceeded to tell me that they are allowed for a $20 deposit per pet per day. I was on speaker when he told my husband REPEATEDLY TO NOT B
My stay at Old Town Inn was absolutely terrible. In the first room we were given, we found two live cockroaches in the bathroom and another one on the bed. The covers smelled awful, and the whole room felt dirty and poorly maintained. They moved us to a second room, but it was just as bad. The bed sheets had blood stains, the lamp shades were broken , and the toilet was also broken. On top of that, there were spiders all around the outside of the room, making it even more uncomfortable. The place was in such bad condition that we didn’t even stay for breakfast because we were too disgusted. I would never recommend this hotel. The cleanliness, hygiene, and overall maintenance are completely unacceptable.
Very disappointing experience. We had a reservation for one night, but as soon as we entered the room and saw the condition of the bed, we had to leave immediately. The mattress protector was extremely dirty with visible stains, which is completely unacceptable. Because of this, we could not stay and had to find another place to sleep. Cleanliness should be a top priority for any hotel. I do not recommend this place.
RUN. Do not walk, do not stay, do not pay. They have bed bugs!!!! I removed all the sheets from room 129 and the mattress protector to reveal the encasement was covered in a colony of bed bugs. 🤢 Told management and they put us in another room. Unfortunately at 11pm at night there was NOWHERE else to stay. Otherwise I would not have risked it. This room has a very suspicious stain on the chair. There was ZERO hand soap. Unbelievable. The provided "body lotion" was clear and felt like hand sanitizer. We paid OVER $100 for this room and I'm furious.
