Old Texas Bunkhouse

Mouse droppings on your towels, and wet dog smell, very horrible, do not recommend! Booked for the entire weekend but was forced to check out after one night, due to the conditions and environment being very nasty and gross! Multiple bathrooms were out of order, we were not able to take showers because the showers look as if they had not been cleaned in months, they all have a black film on them! The whole place has a very nasty odor to it like wet dirty dog mixed with mildew it's horrible and everything stinks, the rooms smell, the blankets smell, the furniture smells. Seems like the smell was just getting worse and worse! We were not even able to sit on the furniture outside of our room because of how nasty, smelly and stained up it is! We enjoyed our stay at the Old Texas Bunkhouse especially for the price! We had a 2 day stay over the weekend for the first Monday canton flea market. We were accompanied by Michelle who helped us and showed us around and offered to help us with anything we may need. Thanks Michelle! Everyone was friendly here and the hospitality from Michelle just made the stay that much better. The rooms are simple and gives you a dorm feeling. If you don’t like sharing space such as restrooms, kitchen, lobby area this place isn’t for you. We enjoyed it and got a bit of a college dorm feeling. Everyone respected each other and there space it just takes a bit of unity and moral human nature to make the stay a good stay. We were here just to lay our head and overall can’t complain. This is our second time staying at this place. It is quiet, clean, comfortable, family oriented, and very friendly. Our room was everything it needed to be to get a great night sleep for several consecutive nights. There are game stations for the kiddos, pool for all, and a comfortable seating area to enjoy a movie. Michelle, the on-site manager seemed to work tirelessly to keep the hotel clean and accommodating for everyone. I would highly recommend The Old Texas Bunkhouse to anyone planning to visit the area.

i found the bunkhouse on accident, me and husband were homeless at the time. i knock on the door and a woman comes out, i try telling her what was going on and immediately started crying. all that went through my head was “oh god this woman thinks im weird” & i bet she definitely did😂 i was very on edge and worried, me and my husband stayed to ourselves for the first few days. the rest is history, i didn’t think i would ever be so comfortable around people, michelle & her family turned our worlds around, they became our family. i will always call the bunkhouse my home, anytime i come back i will always go to the bunkhouse. i gained a little sister as well, michelle’s daughter, she means the world to me. Michelle is AMAZING, she’s so good at her job, knows how to calm a situation in minutes

Michelli's the best. From the very beginning of our stay she has been and continues to be super helpful and hospitable. If you aren't comfortable sharing a public restroom or common areas with others this probably isn't the place for you however if you enjoy great company and a wholesome environment this place is the best.
