Okatie Hilton Head Hotel

The hotel is clean and appointed ok. But the furniture is old and the rooms very noisy. Right by the road, it's road noise 24/7, and you can hear the conversations of your neighbors beneath you, beside you, and above you... all night. When we opened the door to the room though, while being pretty spacious, it was not fresh and the carpet is old. I was knocked over a bit by how musty and damp the room was. The beds were made nicely but hard, lumpy and uncomfortable.

Walked in to musty smelling odors. Bed lifted up when sitting on the end of bed and commode moved from floor when you sat down. Breakfast ok  eggs watery.  The tile door in room wash washed with soapy water, sticky and you foot print was left behind. People friendly

It’s shocking how far Hilton has allowed this hotel to fail into disrepair. The towels are ragged and paper thin. There is a dehumidifier plugged into the hallway. Our ironing board was stained. In our room, the sheets were put on the bed on top of the blanket. The other bed had no blanket at all. The Halloween decorations were way over the top. It felt like we were in a murder scene or a haunted house. It scared my kids and showed a complete lack of professionalism. Staying here has completely damaged my perception of the Hilton brand. I’m shocked they keep their name on a hotel like this.

Hallways smelled of mildew. Carpeting down to threads and filthy. Clean (?) sheets. Tv worked. Breakfast not worth it. Staff was nice. Important socket not working. Walls in dire need of new paint job. Uncomfortable lobby seats. Pillows old and lumpy. Pay more somewhere else.

Positive: The friendliness of the staff. Negative: We had a beeping fire alarm in our room all night. Only 1 employee at the hotel, she didn’t know how to repair it and there were no available rooms to move us to.
