OCJ Resort (Old Camp Joy)

Just had a great 4 day weekend at Old Camp Joy! We stayed in the Huguenot cabin and enjoyed beautiful vistas, kayaking on the lake, playing board games, and reading. Our boys had a blast with the air hockey table. The owner was very friendly and made sure we had everything that we needed! Consider this area as a well kept secret alternative to Broken Bow! Highly recommend!

We stayed here for a family wedding. Our cabin was cute and clean. It's very quiet, right on the lake. I enjoyed watching birds right from the porch. Kitchen has a full refrigerator and an oven/stove combo with some pots and pans, so you can plan ahead and eat your meals in the cabin if you like. I would definitely stay here again!

We rented out the property for my husband’s 50th. We had 50 guest, many from out of town, so we decided to rent the cottages in addition to the venue. Everything was great! The views were fantastic from anywhere on the property! The cottages were clean and cozy, the owners were friendly and helpful, and the venue had everything you could need! The kids enjoyed the water, and it was a perfect place for everyone to get away! Highly recommend for an event or just a weekend away. We will definitely be back!

We had an incredible stay at this lakeside cottage! The accommodation was spotless, comfortable, and truly felt like a home away from home. Sinking into beautiful white linens at night and Waking up to the stunning porch views was a highlight—so peaceful and picturesque. We saw wildlife during our stay, including deer, turtle, a fox, and a variety of beautiful birds, which made our experience even more special. Spending time on the water was so relaxing. One of our favorite things was exploring the property….there are hidden gems just about everywhere you go….. you wouldn’t expect a little book nook library on the nature trail in the valley… but there was. Cute little laundry house near the cottage , so I even went home with clean laundry. The laundry house was stocked with games to borrow

OCJ Resort is a true hidden gem! Nestled on the shore of Lake O’ The Pines, the property is amazing. In addition to the cottages, they have beautiful grounds to explore and a couple hundred feet of private shoreline on the Lake, complete with a rowboat, canoe and kayak which are all there for guests to use for free! We spent every morning enjoying coffee on our private patio overlooking the lake, and every afternoon swimming in the lake. Lastly, the proprietors Christine and Mike are super sweet and helpful. Oh, and we also found out that they have a private event center on the grounds which is adorable! Perfect for hosting a wedding, family reunion (which is what we’re thinking of later this year), or a retreat. So glad we found OCJ, and are excited for our next stay!
