Ocean Inn

I recently stayed at the Ocean Inn in Hollywood, Florida and overall had a very good experience. The rooms were a nice size, clean, and the location was excellent—close to everything I needed. The price was great, and the staff was incredibly helpful and responsive, even offering us a great weekly rate. I also appreciated that there was no security deposit required, which made it even more affordable. The only downside was that some of the appliances in the rooms didn’t always work (microwave, TV, plugs, etc.), and we noticed this across a couple of different rooms. Still, this wasn’t a huge issue given the price point and the great service we received. Disaster and an extremely disappointing motel. Toilet was not flushing or working correctly. Torn bed sheets. The microwave plug was literally cut from the end plug and not working, leaving bare wires. Dusty and dirty with no care shown for guests. The emergency phone number was an answer machine with no response.

The room was extremely deteriorated, everything old, dirty, and in very bad taste, with a terrible smell. The towels were torn and filthy, and there was no comfort at all. The outside atmosphere was also extremely unpleasant. I would not recommend this place even to pass by. I stayed only one night out of three because it was raining and I couldn’t leave—honestly, it felt like punishment. The city should shut this place down; it’s ready for demolition. Believe me, stay away.

Best location (away from all the rif-raf of tourists and street people lies hollywood drive’s best hotel. The service is 2nd to none, the clientele is normal every day Americans/normal tourists. Just an awesome hotel, don’t think twice about this gem

Beautiful location. Very short walking distance to the beach. Even with me walking with the assistance of crutches. Easy room access. Clean, comfortable and quiet. Easy check in and out.
