Oakland Manor House

Giving a 3 because I did not actually stay here. Discussed a wedding with Maleigha. Toured property and was sent a quote, which I accepted. Mostly happy with it as a venue, but requires a lot of work as a couple (decor, tables etc) so I would call this more of a place to stay than a venue unless they do some upgrades. Was sent an invoice for a significantly higher price, but without context. I e-mailed to inquire and got no reply. Took me a bit to figure out they'd left something off the quote and just stuck it on the invoice without any communication. I never heard back at all. Months later, I just got a reminder that I had an invoice due. I don't take issue with mistakes and think paying what is due is proper. My significant other and I spent a long weekend at Oakland Manor House last weekend to celebrate his birthday and could not have had a more enjoyable time! We stayed in the Grace Suite #5 on the 1st floor which features a king sized bed, large soaking tub and a shower built for two. The accommodations were superb! The bed, and the linens on it, were fabulous! We spent time in the tub each night winding down from the day and enjoying the warm soothing water. Overall our suite was spacious, clean and comfortable. ||||Each morning a nice continental fare was provided with enough variety, and consideration for special diets, to appease just about anyone and the coffee is some of the best I’ve ever had! Amazing experience! Ideal for group gatherings. We loved historical charm and surroundings. We would highly recommend Oakland Manor. We would definitely visit again!

Great hotel and excellent hosts. Frustrating note - the website quotes a room rate of $175 per night. And then a $75 cleaning fee is added at checkout. Just say the room rate is $225. I don’t get it.

My wife and I were looking for a place to have a intimate wedding that would focus on friends and family without all the fanfare or the usual chaos and insanity of the typical wedding. We also didn't want to take out a 2nd mortgage just so we could have a really nice affair. We checked out Oakland Manor since it's close to where live in Clermont and we liked the idea of having our non-traditional wedding in a unique setting. The minute we walked in, my then fiance' fell immediately in love with OMH. The house is quaint and quirky and lovely all at the same time. We told them what we wanted and what we were willing to spend and they were able to tailor a menu and setup that was exactly what we were hoping for.
