Oakes Oramel inn

Room was good! All appliances, microwave, coffee Keurig, mini- fridge, hair dryer worked fine. The bathroom was spotless and shower worked fine with plenty of hot water! The small window AC was very quiet (on low) and kept the room nice and cool. However, the dresser and nightstand both had a strong mold smell - could not use them, couldn't even open them due to the smell. This is an awesome little getaway place, is very close to Rushford Lake and very reasonable if you're not looking for mints on your pillows and diamond folds on your toilet paper.😉 Please fix the mold smell. See you next year ! Thanks!!

This place is loud until about 9pm and starts at 5am due to the traffic right across from it. The owner is very nice and so is the staff at the ice cream parlor, which by the way the ice cream there is awesome. The room is fine. The hot water takes a little while to get hot. The overall experience was good with the exception of one RUDE guest that stayed right next to my room. This individual would constantly go outside to smoke and slam the door behind him. Holding conversations on his phone (on the speaker), right outside of the rooms. Then, watch TV so loud until about 11pm and I could hear everything in my room. (Rooms aren't very sound proof)

Fabulous. First of all, it's right next to a little frozen custard/burgers and dogs type place. So good and so inexpensive! The room is ample. Yeah, it needs updating, but that's the norm for most roadside motels. I think it's charming. The Wi-Fi is terrible, I can't sugarcoat it. They need a signal booster in a bad way. The water is hard and the faucets and showerhead could use a good long soak in vinegar. The fridge was wet inside and the freezer had so much frost buildup I had to unplug it to get my ice pack out. Four were captured and taken hostage, they are still in the room. They could prevent this by keeping it unplugged when the room wasn't being used. Parking was great. Our room connected with another and we could hear his phone calls and TV until 3 am, then it started again at 6.

I don’t believe any of these 5 stars reviews. I give one star only because the mattress was really good. Otherwise it was pretty bad. We stayed 3 nights and they never tidied the room or emptied trash. The only thing was on the second day they gave us one fresh towel. Otherwise they never entered the room. We called for fresh towels and were told to call the ice cream shop next door. They were busy but finally did bring them. The ice cream lady was very nice-the owner not at all.

We have a thing for staying in tiny motels off the beaten path, so the Oakes Oramel Inn was perfect for us when we visited the area! The accommodations were quite pleasant with some fresh updates. Our room included a microwave, mini fridge, table and chairs, large dresser with mirror, queen bed, and nightstand. A basket of complimentary snacks and bottled water awaited us on our table upon arrival. Towels were refreshed daily, and the shower was hot (with great water pressure, too). Checkin and checkout were completely painless. Twas a perfectly enjoyable stay, and I would highly recommend it to anyone passing through!
