Oak Bay Campground and Day Use Park

The place itself has great sceneries, but I have to give an automatic one star, by personal principle, simply because of Park Mobile's $2 transaction fee made online. I consider this a bait-and-switch tactic. I couldn't find another place that day simply because it was too late and risky for me to keep pushing on driving and finding other campgrounds. The cost is $37, not $35 if paid online in 2025. "Oh, but that's Park Mobile's transaction fee, not the park's." Yeah, no, that's not going to fly with me. Should have included that fee into the tab. Considering they will no longer accept cash post 2026, this review should matter even more so.

Bike-packed through here. It’s was free due to no one checking in/no slips in the bin. Water and pit toilets at both campsites. Go left at the sign for trees, go right at the sign for beach. There is typically a fee. Felt safe and comfortable. Another review mentor druggie vibes. I find that hilarious.

Its spacious with a lot of different types of campground areas, you can be out in the open or tucked back into the trees. There is a slide, swings for both older kids and babies and an open grassy area for running around. They also allow you to build campfires at your campsite.

This place is so beautiful. I did not camp here because I was in a tent and the weather was not great but next summer it's happening. To wake up in this place would be amazing. Your surroundings by water on three sides. The wildlife is loud and it's evident your in their space at night. It's amazing.
