Nugget lake campground

I remember when that dam was being built. And the town had great big, damn days celebration for a weekend. It was wonderful. But I don't think enough people in the community take advantage of everything that's out there. When I return there to visit, I stay with my girlfriend and a couple years ago I said let's go kayaking book and she really didn't want to, but we went and we had a blast. I mentioned to a few other people that they should go up there and check it out. It is such a beautiful view, even if you just go canoeing or take a kayak out the water and the woods surrounding the area are just beautiful. I bet right now the leaves look all colors but green. Nothing like viewing the leaves, changing colors sitting in a Kayak. And I have learned that a lot more people in the area have

Nugget lake is great. They have boats/canoes/kayaks to rent and if you want to fish, I'd recommend renting one or bring your own. The lake is very weedy until you paddle out farther. Plum river is fun to walk around and in. Plenty of trails to hike. Tons of wild life too see and entertainment for the little guys. They show a movie out side on weekends. It's a great spot for you and the family. Also, barrow a pan from the office and try a little gold mining in the river. Not going to get rich but it is satisfying to see a tiny spec of gold shimmering back at you.

We had 9 campers...6 kids and 3 moms. What a great place. The comfort station was not too far. Level spot to set up our tents. The bugs were not an issue, either. We're already planning a trip next summer!

It was one of the most memorable weekends camping we pitched a tent they also have cabins electricity showers fishing I would recommend this place to any outdoors lovers plenty of play grounds for kids even big screen movies at night if I was to give it a scale from one to ten it's a 10 all day long
