Northumberland Nest Motel

I would like to share my experience at The Nest. I stayed there from about May 2021 till January 2023. The approach from the owners was definitely known. Mike and Beth. They were very hospitable.But also I could sense something was off. I was a single woman on probation at the time. I had some strange encounters with both of the actual owners. The couple. I came back a few years later hoping to get a room and stay again. But for some reason without saying what the problem was the Wife obviously didn't want me to come back. When speaking to them about this I got 2 answers a " most definitely"from Mike and a" we are not sure" from Beth. Their Manager Jason and I have remained friends but, that feeling wasn't coming from the owners mutually. We set it up though and I checked back in with Beth

I've been staying at the Nest for 15 years, long before the current owners Mike and Beth. They are great down to earth Owners and people, just good folk. Cant beat the value, rooms are clean and well kept. Very quaint, safe, quiet place to stay in your travels. Would recommend to anyone.

This is a nice, family run motel. The owners are very friendly and helpful (they gave us delicious fresh peaches after we checked in!). The rooms were clean and neat though could use a little fix-up here and there. For a family-run place, it was very good and more than met our needs.

The owners are very accommodating. It is pretty clean but dated (as can be expected for a motel). Shower is very small. The owners even gave us some tshirts before leaving. They have a friendly cat too. Not bad for a night or two if you plan to just sleep there.

My twin and I stayed here for about two months and never had any issues! The owners were very nice and almost felt very family like, the hospitality was amazing, and they always made sure to come change sheet, blankets and pillow cases out with new ones and restock on toiletries like paper towels, bath towels and TP. I would highly recommend this place if there is any vacancy! There is a grocery store a couple miles down the road, also a dollar store, a laundry mat, gas station, and carwash within walking distance.
