Camped here for 3 days waiting out the weekend so I can get a camping site in Deadwood SD. Needed a place with electric to run my AC because of the heat wave. The campground, a former COE has been leased to the Bowman Water Board. The electric campsites, $15, are run down, some electrical problems at my first site #26 which required me to move. The campground itself was quite beautiful, rolling hills of prairie grasses. Saw several deer and a skunk. Don't count on swimming in Bowman Haley Lake, signs posted there is blue-green algae which is dangerous to humans and pets. There's a boat launch also. Also, the flies and mosquitoes are terrible! Pray for a strong wind when you camp here. The campground has one bath house, male/female sides that have a shower, flush toilet and sink. There is a
Primitive sites galore, many with electric. Lots and lots of room! Mature tree rows, nice picnic tables, clean. If you like no frills, relaxing camping with no big crowds this is for you. Great resivour, beautiful area. The marina is nice, good food and some supplies.
Beautiful, quiet campsites with power in a gorgeous setting. And only $15! ($5 with no power). For RVs there is a dumping station but we couldn’t find potable water. We loved this place!!!
