North Fork Recreation Area

North Fork is one of my favorite spots for tent camping. Sites 57-66, non-electric, all have lake access for fishing and swimming, with 60-66 being the best ones for swimming in my opinion. There are plenty of places to drop in a kayak or canoe, as well as a boat ramp and dock. Bathrooms and showers are clean and weren't busy during my stay. There is a half basketball court tucked away by site 61 if you bring a ball to play.

Site 13....the only site in the park with standing water... and of course the park “host” was not helpful or sympathetic.... she said “maybe it will dry up”. We could not walk out our door without stepping in water. This site should be closed off. Some sites are paved and some are not. Our site was difficult to back into with 31 ft trailer. Dump station is backwards.... when you drive in - not when you exit! About half of sites do not have electric or water- and those are spaced nicely and have level pads. The only positive is we have shade...

Beautiful park. So many spots to choose from for camping with a tent or RV. Many boat ramps and a beach. The dam is worth a visit and enough diners to get a meal after you soaked up the sounds and smells of the river and lake.

Had a good time here, very scenic with lots to do if you enjoy the outdoors and lakes.

Excellent place nice Campground good spots great fishing nice place to swim good price and the other campers seem very friendly. Also bathrooms are close by
