Really disappointing. When we first went to this campground we loved it. But now ever since Covid they do not have restrooms available to everyone. It was our favorite campground and now we do not get to go because we have a travel trailer that has a restroom even though it is not functionable. Everything worked great previously when everyone had access to the restrooms but now just seems a little unfair to punish people and not make their amenities available to everyone.
This small campground is located on the Midland trail which is part of the curvy Talon Trail for Bikers. This was great because we did bring our Bike in our toy hauler and the curvy and hilly road was perfect! About 30 minutes from Walmart and restaurants. The staff was extra friendly and helped us get into our riverfront campsite correctly. Views are beautiful with train going by on other side of lake in front of us but not a nuisance. Highway is on opposite side but also not loud. There is a small market and family dollar next door. Office has live bait for sale and fishing is great but you do need license. ||Noticed also tubing and kayaking in front of our campsite. Full hookups with internet and cell phone signal but don’t expect any TV channels to pick up. A great place to relax and u
I had the most amazing stay here! The campground is beautiful! I was right next to the new river and breathtaking mountains. It was so peaceful just reading outside for hours in the cool weather. The other campers were so friendly and each campsite had plenty of room. Staff was so friendly and the whole place had such a warm feel. I will definitely come here again! The whole new river area is full of waterfalls, trails, and historic buildings.
$53 for a tent spot & bathroom for a night. All we got was a place to build a fire and have the tent set up. They didn't give us our bathroom code. Went to the office to get it. No one was there a worker staying on the campground said she'd bring it to us within the hour. But we never got it. They tried to not give our neighbors theirs but they basically demaned theirs. I was unaware we needed a code until it was to late. At the time of getting the lot I was told we had a private restroom but that was literally all that was mentioned. Having 2 children and a wife bathroom is kinda needed. Especially when paying for it. As far as the campground it's self There isn't anywhere on the campground you can fish or swim due to undergrown grass in the water the only place you can get in at is a go
Would not recommend anymore! This place has gone down the drain. They have different prices depending on who you talk to. They never answer the phone. Talked to Brian finally on the phone he said it was 50 dollars a night for a primitive camp spot. We got there and the owner said he charges what ever he wants and it’s always different. Ended up being 20 a night. Train noise was horrendous, semi trucks coming over the mountain in the morning was horrendous. Someone stole my 100 foot extension cord. Ohh and the Rats at the entrance! Yep 🐀 rats would not recommend.
