New Harmony Inn Resort & Conference Center

Upon checking in, we learned that our rooms were not in the same building and no offer to address this issue was made. When we arrived to the King room, there were several bugs crawling on the drapes. There was no place to gather with the group we met there….no place to play cards, visit, etc. What makes this place a “resort “???? The idea is laughable. I was wholly unimpressed (at best) and disgusted in general. We’ll NEVER be back and will recommend against anyone we know staying there as well.

We got to hotel around 5.20pm and waited till at least 5:45p for someone finally arrived to check us in. I needed to use the restroom but only restroom available was down stairs and I couldn't physically walk it being handicapped. There was complantry coffee my friend made a cup. OMG ever hear of cowboy coffee☕. Tasted like it was a few days old. We was placed at the Riverbend building. Last building away from pool area. When opening the frontdoor there was a funky musky or moldy oder. When we walked in our room the musky smell was awful. The room definitely gave 1982 vibes. You can tell maybe the bathroom might have been updated several years ago but the rest absolutely not. Furniture was old, the clear shiny coat was gone probably for years. No hanging pictures except on the wall near 1

We wanted to love this place!! It’s quaint and pretty! It has the making of something that could be spectacular! But…. The bugs are what really bugged me!! If it weren’t for the bugs I wouldn’t have been bugged at all! I’d of loved it!! We went into room 164 of the riverside building and upon entrance noted what appear to be “rapturds” ,as my grandson used to call them! Yes, mice poop! I took a picture and called the desk to ask for a different room. We then went to room 162 same building. To our actual disappointment and disgust, we noted at least 20-30 stink bugs! Most of them dead in a row on the floor along the patio door! Unfortunately not all of the stink bugs were dead! We had to kill some, and some got away from us! We are hoping they sleep peacefully through the night! Needles

Positive: Rooms, location, and service was Awesome. I wish they would have mentioned that the pool was in need of repair, Heater was broken! Negative: Hotel pool needs Serious help. No hot tub! Floor around pool was cracked , and pieces were chipped away . Very very dirty with leaves , spider webs, and other outside debre. Some of the glass doors was so cloudy you couldn't see threw them.

They were our venue for our wedding and overall it wasn't bad. The grounds were very pretty and the conference center was perfect once it was decorated. The main frustration was from lack of communication and not being given the full information like updated pricing on catering, responses to emails regarding layout, and touching base with the couple day of. We were later told by our guests that the bartender wasn't very friendly, didn't know how to make a screwdriver, and was pouring ice during one of the speeches. The card reader being in the kitchen on the other side of the room was also not shared or we would have told our guests to bring cash. It also would have been nice for an announcement to be made for people to get seconds on food as you pay for it in advance and can not take any
