Navy Gateway Inns and Suites

There’s no cell phone reception, but the hotel more than makes up for it with fast and reliable WiFi. The rooms are decent—you actually get two separate sleeping areas connected by a shared bathroom, which is a nice bonus. Each room includes a ceiling fan, and the TV comes preloaded with Netflix and YouTube, with the option to download more apps through Google Play. Housekeeping was excellent—everything was spotless and well maintained. Plus, the hotel is just a short drive from Chincoteague Island, where there’s plenty to see and do.

Our family wanted to see the wild horses In Chincoteague. We called up this hotel and had amazing service from the first call to see if they have rooms until the day we checked out. The staff was super friendly and knowledgeable of the area and even the cleaning ladies always had a smile and were super sweet. The rooms were clean, beds were amazingly soft. This is not your 5 star hotel with bling bathrooms and decor.. it is a 5 star hotel because of the people and the cleanliness of the rooms. |The area around the hotel had good restaurants, grocery store and 10 min drive to the island was super easy to get to. |The rooms had a microwave, refrigerator, Keurig, TV. Bigger rooms than I thought they would be for our price.

We recently stayed here for a vacation to Chincoteague Island. The location allowed us to hop over the bridge daily to take advantage of everything the island offers, as well as the Virginia portion of Assateague Island. Ideal location and prices to save a few $$ on your stay in the area. No frills. We had a connecting room that shared a bathroom in the middle of the two rooms. Each of the two rooms had a fridge and microwave. No kitchenette. Gym and laundry on site.. We also were able to bring our pup along, which we love about staying with Navy Gateway.

The Front desk staff was professional, friendly and gave us great information about the Eagles Nest, a NGIS (Navy Gateway Inns and Suites), and the surrounding area.|We were assigned to room 215. A 1 bedroom suite. We had a living/dining area and bedroom was spacious TV in both rooms. A small but adequate kitchen area. A fridge, microwave where you will find disposable cutlery and paper plates. Kitchen does not have any items. A ice bucket with plastic cups are provided as well as a K-Cup coffee. Bathroom is configured so you can enter from the living room area or from the bedroom. No breakfast offered. Coffee available in the Lobby.||Kim and Ursula housekeeping staff kept our room clean.||Sure there is no view, pool or other amenities you might be use too. A gym is available.||The

Late check-in, late check-out. Service was good and fast. Although the area can be a bit daunting, this NGIS was good enough to provide a decent gym and a small MWR area. I saw that they had a pool table and entertainment area where you can either just sit around or play console games. They also have a basketball hoop out in the back by the parking lot. It's quite hidden but you'll see it if you park by the entrance or if you're out in their little backyard. The gym is on another building but adjacent to the actual building. The lobby was neat and welcoming. They have a coffee area there too. They have two grills outside and a good seating area if you want to have a little picnic. The gazebo by the grill area is the designated smoking area. The room I got was pleasant enough. Queen sized
