Camp Nackte is an inclusive campground that welcomes people from a wide range of identities and backgrounds. During my visits, I met several kind and welcoming individuals, and the overall community atmosphere was positive. That said, there are areas where improvement is needed, particularly regarding facility maintenance and management communication. During two separate stays in the cabins, I experienced recurring issues with insects, including dead bugs remaining in the cabin. While some level of this is expected in a camping environment, it contributed to an overall impression of inconsistent cleanliness. Additionally, there were problems with cabin cooling; during my stay, the air conditioning hose was not properly attached, which led to moisture accumulating inside the cabin. I also

I stayed here last weekend with several friends and we had an amazing time. You can set up your tent far enough away from the main areas to be in the dark and see the stars, but it's a short walk to toilets (with bidets!), showers (communal & co-ed), and laundry, as well as a pool, hot tub, and pool table. It's clear that the primary clientele is gay men but the owners and other guests were so welcoming to us (a multi-gender group of queer/trans people). I'm sure straight people would feel just as welcome as long as you're chill and nonjudgmental. The vibe is more "hang out on the property and socialize" but there's also good hiking in the area, although a bit of a drive (Government Canyon is about 90 minutes away and very worth the trip). "Welcome" is what you hear when you arrive to this two year young cozy campground with aspirations on a great scale for expansion. As this campground is getting traction the staff will do everything possible to make your stay enjoyable. The Check‐In office has a cafe attached to the new pool. For electric tent camping bring a few extension cords as there is currently only central power distribution. Future plans will bring power much closer. Well in touch with nature, you will meet eclectic guests to converse with. The bathroom has individual private stalls, but open air showers. Enjoy your stay as cozy is king.

If I could give this place more than 5 stars I would! Ive been to 2 furry camping events here and each time has been one of the best experiences I've had. The first time my partner and I went we got to stay in the cabin the first year they had it. OMG did I feel like a king staying in this thing. Only cause it was the only one, lol. It was nice clean and well kept and had no issues with bugs or pests, cause we outdoors and gotta keepem out if you do it smart, wink* The owners were amaze balls when it came to accommodating us. Very upfront about draining the AC unit cause the little guy was a tough unit working overtime in this Texas heat. But man they was on top of it if we needed help draining it. This place is amazing. Plenty of places to camp, a pool and hot tub, pool table, kitchen area, public shower/bathrooms (all very clean) & something going on practically every weekend. This place is a great choice to get away from the city and enjoy yourself with some like minded people.
