My Place Hotel-West Jordan, UT

Rented a room for the speedskating worldcup. The room reeked of smoke when we walked in. My wife and I have never smoked a cigarette in our entire lives. We take extremely good care of ourselves and smoking is an absolutely disgusting habit. As there was a shortage of rooms in the area due to the world cup, we decided to not raise any complaint and we tolerated the smell during our stay and went home and washed our clothes and moved on with our lives. We were very surprised to see that we were charged $150 extra for "smoking in our room" . When we contacted the hotel about the fraudulent charge, we kindly approached the manager Audrey, who lied and told us they the room did not smell before we checked in. Positive: This is probably the cleanest hotel I've stayed in, in a long while. The staff was very friendly and helpful. Negative: It has a small kitchen, but no dishes, silverware, cookware, etc. In addition to bringing our food, this would require many additional trips to the car to bring all of these items to our room. Very inconvenient.

Nice cute and spacious rooms with a kitchenette. Very clean. We didn't know that we had to ask for housekeeping service to get our room organized. We didn't know whether it was an extra charge or got asked at the front desk if we needed one. 🤔

This is a great property! The staff were friendly, helpful, and professional, making check-in and departure easy. ||||The room was pristine! ||||We were on the 4th floor. The single elevator was clean and ran smoothly, so there wasn't a long wait to use it. ||||Clean area to exercise the dog included natural grass, artificial turf, and rocks (nice to have the options if your dog doesn't travel well). ||||In a quiet professional park area within walking distance to shopping or restaurants. If you're in the area for business or leisure, this is the place to stay!

If you like unhelpful and rude staff who don’t know anything about the hotel or how to do your job, this is the perfect hotel for you. When we first walked up to the hotel the only staff member (Kim) was outside smoking a cigarette with her friends and took several minutes to get inside to help us check in. We then had some complications with our room which we would not be able to check in and would require a refund which Kim then responded by saying she couldn’t do anything for us and didn’t know the number or email of someone who could help us find a solution and also didn’t help us figure out how to get the number of the people who could help us. Then after that she walked away and continued to hang out with her friends in the lobby. Bs service and still haven’t been able to get a refun
