Muskegon River Campground

Great location! Great little campground we will be staying at again. Wish they had a dump station, but maybe someday. We kayaked from Newaygo, right to the campground. Looking forward to another trip there.

We stopped here for the night on our way to Michigan Adventures! The campground host was so friendly and easy to talk too. Great bath houses and bathrooms! The campground was very clean and had amazing overlooks and trails! It was so peaceful and serene! We will definitely be back! Thanks again Joanie!!!!

This is such a great little campground on a HUGE piece of property. The Host was super friendly and helpful. The campground is very dog-friendly. Plenty of trails and places to walk, and Muskegon river frontage with access, and if that's not totally your thing, it's ok- the campground has wifi! This place used to be a church camp- there are a lot of older, unused buildings that are in a state of disrepair, which was sad to see, knowing how loved they were at some point. However, these have no real bearing on the campground and property. We were able to park our 33' fifth wheel without any issues. There is no dump station yet- it is in the works, so hopefully by the 2026 camping season. We will be back!

Hidden gem. The host was so friendly. She will help with any questions or concerns you have. There are so many activities to do here , from family games like connect 4 to basketball ball courts to fishing at the river you won’t have a dull moment here. Also , big bonus , they provide WiFi to all campers. And they have the cleanest bathrooms I’ve ever seen at a campground. My stay here was so peaceful I definitely plan on coming back

What a wonderful campground! It was laid back, peaceful and very well kept. Our host, Joni went above and beyond to make sure we were good! We will definitely come back!
