Mt. Rose - Ski Tahoe

We have gone skiing in North Lake Tahoe a number of times but this is the first time that we have gone to Mount Rose. The drive to get to the resort is beautiful. You drive up though the mountains and the views are spectacular (everything was snow covered the day we went). It's a nice size resort. Not big like Northstar but not small either. The kids ski lessons and adult lift tickets were less expensive than many of the other resorts. The only issue that we ran into was that they require that the kids wear goggles. There were 4 kids in our group and we left their goggles back at the cabin. So I ended up shelling out an extra $140 for the kids. We put all 4 kids in the ski school and they had a blast. I loved my first snowboarding experience 🏂 Donny was excellent at explaining the basic things of this sport. Just gonna say that it will be better to wait until it really snows! The ground was hard and slippery 😬 which isn’t ideal for beginners Everyone at the mountain was very kind, helpful, and patient with everything else 🏂❄️☃️🥶

Putting Heavenly aside, Mt. Rose is the best ski area in the state of Nevada. We got a good look at the terrain while doing the Mt. Rose summit trail hike which is a highly recommend trail located right near the access road entrance to the resort. If we visit Tahoe again in the wintertime we'll definitely make our way back to Mt. Rose to ski it!

The view is phenomenal no matter which way you look. We enjoy hanging out at the picnic tables or tailgating 8n the parking lot.
