Mt Lemmon Ski Valley

Mount Lemmon is the highest peak in the Santa Catalina Mountains, part of the Catalina Mountain Range near Tucson, Arizona. Sky Valley is a small, scenic community along the foothills and canyons below Mount Lemmon, south of Oracle and north of Catalina Highway (AZ-77). Mount Lemmon offers a dramatic elevation rise from desert floor to alpine-like conditions, giving visitors a cooler climate, diverse vegetation, and scenic views. Awesome place to play in the snow, walk in fall colors or ride the lift to the top in the summer or winter. I have seen turkey and deer while riding the lift. Limited parking but it's worth the drive. Check out the restaraunts and shops in Ski Valley too. There is a 30 degree change in temperature from Tucson to Ski Valley so dress accordingly. 4 wheel drive recommended in the snow.

The autumn colors at Sky Valley are simply stunning right now. Each season—winter and summer included—offers its own unique beauty and atmosphere. It’s a very worthwhile short trip from Tucson, with breathtaking views all along the ascent. Truly not to be missed!

Awesome views. Great radio location. Large Wild turkeys. Golden aspens. So much different than the desert below. Amazing rock formations on the way up.

Went up the end of Oct, and the leaves were changing, sights were great and scenery spectacular
