Mountain View RV Park

We stopped in Wellington on our way to Texas. Bad weather caused us to arrive at 10:30 p.m. and we still received a friendly welcome. I had read the reviews on this site as we were driving and didn’t have very high expectations, but our choices were limited. First the cons: If pretty landscaping and all the amenities of home are critical for your comfort, don’t stay here. You will be disappointed and it would be unfair to judge this remodeled, older motel by that criteria. The Pros: If you need a quiet (we heard no road or train noise), conveniently located place to stay, use of the bathroom/showers in the attached motel, free Internet, free use of the great indoor swimming pool and facilities that aren’t perfect or spotless, but cleaner than many places, this could be the best deal you’ll

Despite other reviews that stated the cleanliness of the place, the clutter, the noise, the dogs barking. Our experience has been a little different. Yes, there’s been dogs barking here and there, but nothing that’s kept us up at night or got us up too early in the morning, as for the clutter, I mean, we got a realize it the cost-of-living nowadays is put people in some very constituent Places and having to afford an RV spot and storage unit can be pretty expensive it’s not dirty or cluttered people generally try to keep all their stuff the best they can it’s greatly priced and they’ve worked with us a lot assistance and getting everything switched over would’ve made us a little bit late for the rest of the month Manager worked with us a lot and I appreciate that it’s simple and it has eve

Very dismal. Tiny sites looking right into neighbours. If you have a slide then you may not be able to extend it. There were no other recreational travellers & the people resident here seemed permanent with lots of stuff strewn around the trailers. Some road & rail noise. There is access to the indoor pool but it was covered over in September. The restrooms were acceptable but no locks on the opaque shower doors. The restaurant smelled of fat and did not appeal. There aren’t a lot of places to get a full hookup for $26 & we were safe here but I would not choose to stay again.On the plus side it is close to the 9 mile canyon.

If you can avoid it do not stay here the spots are very unlevel, very trashy, dogs are always tied outside barking, people are very loud, the staff is rude and very unhelpful, most of the hookups dont work, no 50amp service the restaurant smells like fat, the pool has been closed for months, the spots are so small you literally look right into your neighbor's window I could go on and on, the only pros are they are the only place that could take us and honestly that's about the only good part. Trust me just dont do it.

We stayed here for a few nights between Bonneville Salt Flats and Moab. The indoor pool was nice. Had a good meal at the restaurant. Check out the Prehistoric Museum nearby if you have time.
