Great rustic campground with full hook up and surrounded by mountains. Camp host, Dan was EXTREMELY HELPFUL when my husband had to repair a plumbing issue with our RV. Great jerky and dried fruits and nuts for wilderness camping. We love this place and it's central to lots of AZ sites. Very reasonable rates too!
Main reason for visit was an RV overnight stay. Lady who checked me in was great and very welcoming, and gave me jerky samples as she checked me in. Was greeted as I was parking by Tom, the head groundskeeper and maintenance man. This is the kind of team that every RV park should have. Tom gave me advice on a good site, and my stay was quiet and restful. This is a very unique place with gifts and food you don't find everywhere. Fresh pistachios in a variety of flavors as was the jerky. Full hookup at RV site, gas pumps on site so you can top off before you leave. Propane is available and an on-site "chuck wagon" serving basic fare. This place was a pleasant surprise.
Great little park and very reasonably priced. The only drawback is the road getting to it. It’s asphalt but extremely bumpy. Would I stay here again even with the bad road? Absolutely. There’s a food wagon and dried foods in the store.
This campground is the ideal location between Las Cruces and Tucson. The sites are large, full hookups, with gravel. Prices are reasonable. Don't let the train stop you. They don't run at night. Their store has all kinds of goodies including jersey and pistachios.
Campsite was level in a rather dusty parking lot. There were a couple of trees. Store had a few staples as well as jerky selection and some giftables. Restrooms were sufficient and clean. Laundry facilities available. The huge negative is that there were long, noisy freight trains passing within 200 yds. Every hour, ALL NIGHT LONG!
