Mountain View Campground

I had no idea there was a restaurant in this location because only the campground shows up when you're doing a restaurant search on Google for places to eat in the mountains! We needed a quick bite and were looking for some place to stop between Murrayville and Blairsville. There just aren't a lot of options on 19. We cruised around a bend in the road and saw JR's Roadkill Barbecue and Ribs. With the name, I honestly wasn't expecting anything spectacular. Don't let the name fool you folks, we had an AMAZING pulled pork sandwich. It was humongous and delicious and tasted like they pulled the meat right off a smoker! We needed a super last minute place to stay after making a date error on our campsite reservation at another campground and ended up here desperate and homeless! The guy that runs this place is great, he was super nice and we were able to get a place to sleep for the night right on the creek. It’s a great, beautiful spot with nice scenery, and even some cell service! Definitely count this place as a win!

Nice clean cabins for a aray of different budgets, great location for base camp for your motorcycle ridding around east Tenn, and western N.C.
