Mountain Laurel Lake

This is by far one of my absolute favorite places to vacation! It’s only about an hour and a half drive from our home in Southern Indiana, but it feels like you’ve stepped into a whole different world once you’re there. My family has been vacationing here for nearly 30 years, and it never loses its charm. The peaceful Kentucky countryside is the perfect escape from the noise and busyness of everyday life. The rolling hills, quiet mornings, and fresh air make it so easy to relax and recharge. It’s private, quiet, and full of simple joys — fishing with my husband, playing board games late into the night, or just sitting outside listening to the sounds of nature. My mamaw and I love working on puzzles during the day while taking in the beautiful views. Every visit feels like a step back in

The cabin itself was nice. Unfortunately, there was no heat, and the fireplace stopped working, so we were without heat for about 11 hours. The maintenance person acted like it was an inconvenience to come and get the fireplace working. Wifi is terrible. If you don't want to watch TV, then it won't be a problem. Fishing is very good.

I've stayed here several times over the last year. It's a wonderful oasis, quiet and calm in all seasons but especially nice in the summer and Fall. The hosts (Patti & Larry) are the nicest people you'll ever meet and are super accomodating. There're plenty ot trails for short hikes and plenty of fish in the lake. I very highly recommend this for a weekend or week away from the "hustle & bustle."

My husband and I spent 12 days in the Pine cabin and visited the surrounding areas. These cabins are a true representation of the beauty of the Kentucky mountains. Built by a very bright men to achieve its natural beaut and ran by some amazing folks. We totally recommend staying here. The peace, the natural beauty and the many trails. I have to say you have so much to do here just walking around the trail was amazing veiws! I definitely would be coming back here! Veiws so worth thr boat amazing!
