Mountain Creek Cabins

Took the wife for a weekend getaway. We stayed in the Whitetail cabin. When booking, it states that in the winter months, 4WD or AWD is required. Please listen to this advice. There were cars getting stuck, and some left their vehicles on the main road miles from the cabins. Thankfully, we have all-wheel drive and had no problems. The cabin was beautiful, CLEAN, inviting, and felt comfortable. It was worth every dollar for the relaxing weekend we had. It has everything you need for a stay; it's updated. The hot tub was nice and hot and relaxing. Also clean. The king-size bed was clean and comfortable, and we slept well. There was no TV in the bedrooms and no city noise. My husband and I just got back from a stay at Mountain Creek Cabins this was our 2nd time visiting and this time we were in the Black Bear cabin. The cabin has a full kitchen, you just bring the food all pots, pans, dishes, utensils everything you need is there, even a dishwasher, There is a gas grill with each cabin and a private hot tub for each cabin. all linens and towels are provided. It is so quiet, peaceful and serene there. The hot tub overlooks a mountain creek and the sounds of nature. The beds are very comfortable. We can not wait to come visit again.

Rented the cabin for a quiet weekend getaway. Cabin itself is beautiful and we'll maintained. It has everything you need for your stay with nice appliances. Hot tub on porch was nice, but had sulfur smell. The view was beautiful and secluded. Be warned though you are on narrow back roads and you definitely need 4 wheel drive in the winter to get around. Know it is not at all handicapped friendly. All furniture is very low, including beds and toilet. Overall a great place and would definitely go again!

I have stayed at Mountain Creek Cabins before without major issues, which is why this experience was so incredibly disappointing—but this most recent stay was completely unacceptable. I booked a weekend cabin for my adult children. When they arrived, there was no power. They were told it would be restored within 45 minutes, but it never came back on. They spent the entire night in the cabin with no electricity, no heat, and no running water. The conditions were not just inconvenient—they were unlivable. They could not cook, stay warm, or use basic utilities. The next morning, they had to walk down to a creek to collect water just to manually flush the toilet. That is something no paying guest should ever have to do. They ultimately left around 11:30 AM and had to book an Airbnb just to

My wife and I had a wonderful stay at the Black Bear cabin. The cabin itself was the cleanest cabin we've stayed in. The kitchen equipment was in great condition and the linens were very nice. The service was excellent. On arrival, the the hot tub needed cleaning. The property manger was over within 15 minutes of our call on a Sunday evening. With the creek running just behind the cabin, the scenery and the sound of the creek were amazing. The only suggested improvement would be a refresh of the couch and the king mattress.
