Good place managed by family owed business owner Bud. Amazing mountain view with relaxing atmosphere. Bathrooms and bed are old but can be managed for night. Basic facilities are available microwave, refrigerator bathtub, laundry . But wifi is not available which can be managed in my opinion. Would definitely recommend if someone want to spend night with cheap price. The owner is very good and helpful. Best part is our room was at first level so we could park car right outside the room. Very remote place but good to spend a night after travel.

Very clean, well located motel in central Questa. The accomodations are simple, with a mid-century charm that was fun to hang out in. Great views from the porch. No in-room coffee, but it's a very short walk to a great little coffee place. The motel owner is extremely nice & helpful. Great base for exploring the San Luis Valley, Sangre de Christo & upper Rio Grande. The place is comfy, unpretentious and a really good lodging deal. Questa is quite nice too...definitely not touristy, it's just real deal rural NM & the people are really friendly. Easy walk to Questa's two bars, too, for local color. We'll definitely be back & will stay at the Sangre de Christo again.

As others have stated in previous reviews (which helped me to stay at this motel), this is a good place to stay. Questa is 12 miles west of Red River and Questa is not a tourist town (it is a sleepy community). Overall, the owner (Bud) is a great cordial person and the motel can be be viewed in my opinion as an early 60's type motel. The exterior is in need of some repair but the interior of the rooms were clean, beds were comfortable and equipped with small frig and microwave. As earlier reviewers have stated, this is not a fancy place but simply is a clean, comfortable inexpensive place to stay. I was able to make a reservation via telephone (no credit card) and was unable to make first night due to car trouble. Called Bud and it was no problem. If you check Red River they want your fir

Pleasantly surprised with the room. It's an overmotel but has everything you need with the exception of Wi-Fi. I've never understood why some people feel they need a motel room the size of a small house. This rooms have a bad, TV, small fridge, desk and just about anything you need. They are dated and small but get the job done. The gentleman at the front desk was extremely nice to deal with. I'd stay here again in a heartbeat. If you need a place to grab a bite to eat, I highly recommend the wildcat diner just to the North and on the right.

We chose this place for is location- closest motel to the Valle Vidal and Rio Costilla areas for fly fishing and closest lodging to the Wild Rivers Recreation area. Close enough to Red River to go there but not have to stay there. The owner is very friendly and seems to be the only one around. He did not require a credit card for a reservation, and gave us a senior discount when we checked in. $50/per night included tax. The rooms are concrete block construction, so you hear very little noise from other guests. The A/C unit is noisy, but this is a plus as white noise. Mini-fridge, microwave, TV with lots of channels, plenty of lamps, a love seat, decent queen bed--all we needed for our 3-night stay. No internet, no shampoo, no phone. Local grocery store, dollar store and hardware stor
